Review: Staycation at V Hotel Dubai

The V hotel Dubai is part of Curio Collection by Hilton, a global collection of five star hotels that offer its guests amazing unique experiences. Located in Al Habtoor City in Business Bay on the banks of Dubai Water Canal and home to Dubai’s world-famous show – La Perle, the hotel is unlike anything else you will experience.

Designed with a retro futuristic concept, the hotel reflects Dubai’s status as a city offering a culture of work, leisure and entertainment. As you walk in you are welcomed by a small concierge desk and directed to the brand new refurbished V Hub at Level 7 to complete the check-in process. The rooms are trendy and stylish in design, with the suites boasting the biggest curved beds I have ever witnessed.

The hotel offers an amazing array of suites: They come with a massive round bed, lounge and bar and range from the ‘Very Deluxe Room’ at 68 sqm, ‘Vantage Suite’ at 71sqm, the Deluxe Suite at 86-97sqm, ‘Valor Suite’ at 117sqm and the ‘Vibran Suite’ which in addition to its lounge also had a kitchenette, powder room and cigar room at 215 sqm.

For my visit, the reception had customised my key card with a photo taken from my social media account. Some might not like this, but for me this just shows an example of the attention to detail and extra little things that the management are prepared to do for their guests.

Due to the proximity of the hotel, you are spoilt for choice in food and beverage offerings across the whole of Habtoor City. The hotel has Level 7 as its breakfast location that also is a great place for a coffee or casual meal throughout the day. You can also enjoy refreshments at the V Deck whilst soaking up the sun rays, or dine in the 30th floor for a fun evening of beverages and dinner.

Other amazing options to consider are, Habtoor Palace’s BQ French Kitchen & Bar or if you fancy one of the best steaks in town try out the World Cut Steakhouse. I highly recommend visiting here on ‘Tomahawk Tuesday’ for an amazing meal for two. Moreover, if you are looking for something a bit more fun and casual, try ‘Ribs & Brews’ at the Hilton Dubai Al Habtoor City located on the ground floor.

The hotel has a pool area more akin to a beach club set up, guaranteeing great tunes and refreshing cocktails. If fitness is how you like to relax then you are spoilt for choice with a state of the art, gym, tennis courts as well as being on the cycle track that leads to the Meydan Track. But if you want to sit back and be entertained by some of the world’s best acrobats then walk next door and enjoy the number one show in Dubai at La Perle.

As for my final verdict, if I was having to travel to Dubai on business and wanted to be central to all things whilst having everything at my doorstep I can think of no better option for my stay that this hotel. Nonetheless, the hotel is also great for a weekend stay to enjoy a world of leisure, entertainment and comfort.
