On Wednesday, the Rivoli Group has launched Rivoli Vision, a dedicated division for its eyewear business, for its customers in the GCC.

“The launch of Rivoli Vision has come about as a natural evolution given our domain knowledge in the eyewear distribution arena acquired over the past 20 years with international manufacturers – Marcolin and Kering eyewear group – and our desire to be the leading vision care provider in the region,” said Ramesh Prabhakar, vice chairman and managing partner of the Rivoli Group.

Under its eyewear business, Rivoli operates three retail eyewear concepts: Avanti, Rivoli Eyezone and Style 88. These three concepts will now be collectively managed under Rivoli Vision.

Avanti sits at the top of the group’s luxury eyewear concept, where customers can find bespoke prescription glasses or sunglasses, including exclusive collections from brands such as Cartier, Boucheron, Tom Ford, Gucci, Fred and Yves Saint Laurent, among others. The Avanti stores are also Zeiss Vision Expert centers which uses contact-less vision testing for any ophthalmic needs.

The Rivoli Eyezone concept stores are located in all leading malls across the region. Today there are over 50 Rivoli Eyezone stores. Rivoli Eyezone also launched inxt digital optical lenses with unique features including 12-month power change guarantee, besides Sofvue color contact lenses more recently.

The Style 88 concept meanwhile was created for the audience who prefer vibrant retail environments. The stores offer a wide array of brands including Guess, Ray-Ban, Timberland, Dolce & Gabbana and Prada, among others.

“Today the eyewear business of the group has expanded to 75 stores across the four key markets of the GCC – UAE, Bahrain, Qatar and Oman – which has been achieved over the last 18 months and this number is only set to grow with Rivoli Vision expecting 100 stores to be opened by early 2022 across its three eyewear retail concepts,” said Subbaiah, director of Rivoli Vision.

Additionally, Rivoli Vision will also preside over a specialised training facility called the ‘Rivoli Vision Academy’ which will train the group’s optometrists.
