Sharjah-based low cost carrier Air Arabia will resume direct flights to Moscow starting May 1, 2021, it announced on Wednesday.

The route will be operated four times per week using an Airbus A320 aircraft.

Flight G9 955 will depart from Sharjah at 9.10am and arrive in Moscow at 1.20pm. The return flight G9 956 will leave from the Russian city at 2.10pm, and arrive in the UAE city at 8.10pm. The flights will operate on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays.

Tickets are now available to book via Air Arabia’s website, by calling the call centre or through travel agencies.

Air Arabia has been gradually resuming services to various routes in the past few months.

Earlier this month, the airline announced that it would restart flights to Sarajevo, capital of Bosnia and Herzegovina, from May 7.

In February, Air Arabia also resumed direct flights to the Egyptian city of Luxor.

The airline stressed that it has adjusted operations to include safety measures. In October, the carrier announced free global Covid-19 cover for all passengers travelling on its flights departing from Sharjah and Abu Dhabi.

The insurance is automatically included as part of the booking and no additional documents are required from passengers.
