Emirates resumes flights to Tokyo-Haneda

Emirates has restored its full Japanese network with the resumption of flights to Tokyo-Haneda on April 2. This marks the airline’s continued expansion in the Southeast Asia region.

Satish Sethi, Emirates’ country manager in Japan, said: “We’re very excited about the continued development of our Japanese network and are especially thankful to the local authorities and our partners for their support and for working with us on providing seamless global connectivity for Japanese travellers.

“We’ve been present in the market for more than 20 years and are thoroughly pleased to finally return to Tokyo-Haneda, as we look forward to supporting the increasing demand for international travel. The night flight from Haneda offers valuable connectivity for travellers to access Emirates’ points beyond Dubai, in Europe, Africa, and the Middle East regions.”

Tokyo-Haneda flight on April 2

Operated by one of the airline’s latest Boeing 777 “Game Changer” aircraft, flight EK312 departed from Dubai on  April 2 at 7:50am, and arrived in Haneda at 10:35am.

The return flight EK313 departed from Haneda on April 3 at 12:05pm and arrived in Dubai at 6:20am. All times are local time.

In addition to Tokyo-Haneda, Emirates also operates daily services to Tokyo-Narita and Osaka.

From these points, the airline offers passengers access to 24 additional domestic cities in Japan through its codeshare partnership with Japan Airlines.

Japanese travellers can also benefit from access to more than 130 destinations across six continents via Dubai, including popular destinations such as Italy, Spain, US, France and the UK.

In recent news, Emirates and United activated their codeshare partnership, allowing Emirates customers to enjoy easier access to an expanded choice of US destinations.

Emirates customers will now be able to fly to Chicago, Houston or San Francisco and connect easily to an expansive network of domestic US points on flights operated by United.

With the launch of the partnership, Emirates customers heading to the US, can now look forward to access to more than 150 US cities in the US carrier’s network, via the three gateways.

Similarly, Emirates customers in the US planning trips to Dubai and beyond have a myriad of choices and can utilise the US carrier’s services to easily connect to Emirates-operated flights bound for Dubai, via Chicago, Houston or San Francisco.

Meanwhile, Emirates announced it will deploy its signature A380 aircraft to Bali starting from June 1, marking a milestone in Indonesia’s aviation history as the first scheduled A380 service to the country.

The new 2-class Emirates A380 service will replace one of the two daily services to Bali currently operated by a 2-class Boeing 777-300ER aircraft.
