The versatility of convertible laptops today is immense, and they are available for a wide range of uses – from personal to professional. Following the trend, ASUS launched the Vivobook 13 Slate OLED (T3300), a 13.3-inch Windows removable laptop featuring a magnetically detachable full-size keyboard. The device runs Windows 11 and is considered comfortable and easy to hold.

Design and display
The Vivobook 13 Slate OLED has a Corning Gorilla Glass touchscreen and an anti-fingerprint coating to help keep the screen clean and scratch-resistant. It weighs only 785g and is 7.9 mm thin. The multitouch OLED display has a Full HD resolution, a 16:9 aspect ratio, and a peak brightness of 550 nits. The OLED panel is pixel-dense and colourful.

The device features a 16:9 OLED HDR display with a 1920 x 1080 resolution, providing a brighter and more detailed viewing experience. It also has a 100 per cent DCI-P3 colour gamut with Pantone Validation, the standard in the motion-picture business. In addition, the display is also certified with VESA DisplayHDR 500 True Black and Dolby Vision to ensure that HDR content appears rich and lifelike, with accurate colour and contrast reproduction.

The Vivobook 13 Slate OLED comes with a full-size keyboard that is thin and detachable. With a set of powerful magnets, a pair of guiding slots, and a set of pogo pin connections that assure an instant connection, the keyboard is ready to use as soon as it is snapped on.

The device’s adaptable 2-in-1 mode effortlessly adjusts to the user’s demands. The user may watch, type, and draw, in landscape or portrait mode, with or without a keyboard.

Connectivity
The device features two USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C ports, supporting data transfer, DisplayPort, and power delivery. A 3.5mm combo audio jack and a microSD card reader are also included.

The device’s built-in dual-band Intel WiFi 6 with Gig+ (802.11ax) wireless network module enables up to 2.4 Gbps speeds and up to 3X greater throughput and 4X network capacity than WiFi 5. (802.11ac). In addition, bluetooth 5.2 is built into the network card, allowing it to connect to bluetooth-enabled devices.

Performance and battery
The VivoBook 13 Slate OLED is powered by Intel® quad-core Pentium® Silver N6000 processor, a quad-core CPU with integrated Intel® UHD integrated graphics and 8GB RAM, and 256GB SSD. True-to-life video, seamless multitasking, and smooth performance are all possible due to this. It also ensures the compatibility of productivity apps.

The device includes a 50Whr battery that lasts over nine hours on a single charge, allowing users to be on the go for longer. It also has ASUS battery health charging technology, which helps to keep the battery in good shape by limiting battery growth during charging. This extends the life of the battery. Compared to regular charging, this technology is safer and has a longer lifespan. In addition, the device boasts a fast-charging feature that allows it to charge from zero to 60 per cent in less than 39 minutes.

The Vivobook 13 Slate OLED can also be charged with a broad selection of standard USB-C chargers. Any PD (power delivery) certified charger, including the 65-watt fast-charge adapter included with the device, may provide rapid charging. It is useful when no wall plugs are accessible, such as on flights or in cars.

Camera and sound
The ASUS Vivobook 13 Slate OLED features dual cameras. The front 5-megapixel camera can make crisp video calls, while the rear 13-megapixel camera can record high-resolution photos.

It also comes with the brand’s AI noise-cancelling audio technology that assures users can hear and be heard clearly in any situation. This function lets users select from four modes: off, basic, single presenter or multi-presenter. All ambient noise is blocked when a user selects the single presenter option except human voices. When a user selects the multi-presenter option, the system normalises individual voices from different places or distances to sound the same.

Meanwhile, the AI noise-cancelling audio speaker feature filters out all background noise except human voices, allowing users to hear and record more clearly – even when there is background noise.

Pricing and availability
The ASUS Vivobook 13 Slate OLED is now available in UAE. Price starts from Dhs2,499.
